NOTUR2008 – June 3–5, 2008 – Tromsø

NOTUR2008 - LOCATION

The meeting will take place at the University of Tromsø in Teorifagbygget (House/Hus 1, Auditorium 2, room 1.836), building 27 on the campus map.
After the workshop (June 3), the social event starts at 7pm.
The conference dinner in the evening of day 1 of the conference (June 4) will be served at Polaria, starting with an aperitif at 6pm.

The organization of NOTUR2008 has blocked rooms in two hotels in the centre of Tromsø and negotiated special prices for June 3-5:

FROM THE AIRPORT TO YOUR HOTEL. Tromsø Airport (TOS) is about 15 minutes from the town centre by taxi or bus. The Airport Shuttle Bus (Flybussen) costs 50 NOK. Ask the driver to stop near your hotel. Taxis are also available and cost about 100 NOK from the airport to the city centre. It is also possible to take a city bus (number 40 or 42) into town for 23 NOK.
FROM THE HOTEL TO THE UNIVERSITY. From town to the university you can take a bus (number 20, 21 and 32). They go regularly from the junction between Grønnegata and Fredrik Langesgate. A bus ticket costs 23 NOK. You can also take a taxi which costs around 100 NOK. (In case you stay at the Scandic Hotel or the Havna Hotell, you can either walk or take a taxi. From the Scandic Hotel, you can also take bus number 34 or 22.)
