FROM THE AIRPORT TO YOUR HOTEL

Tromsø Airport (TOS) is about 15 minutes from the town centre by taxi or bus. The Airport Shuttle Bus (Flybussen) costs about 45 Nkr. Ask the driver to stop at your hotel. Taxis are also available, and cost about 100 Nkr into town. It is also possible to take a city bus (busnumber 40 or 42) into town for 21 Nkr.

FROM THE HOTEL TO THE UNIVERSITY

From town to the university you can take busnumber 20. It goes regularly from the junction between Grønnegata and Fredrik Langesgate in town. Click here to see a map of the town centre. The bus costs 21 Nkr. You could also take a cab, which may cost around 100 Nkr.

If you are staying at Scandic Hotel or Havna Hotell, you can either walk or take a taxi. From Scandic Hotel you can also take busnumber 34 or 22.

SOCIAL EVENTS

After the workshop on Wednesday 9th of June, there will be bowling and pizza at Tromsø Bowlingsenter.

The dinner on Thursday 10th of June will be held on Fjellstua Restaurant at the mountain Fløya (see map above). We will take a cable car up to the restaurant. The cable car will in just four minutes take us up to "Storsteinen" (420 metres above sea level), where we can take pleasure in a fantastic view overlooking the town and surrounding mountains. At the “Fjellstua” restaurant we will enjoy an arctic meal and if we are lucky, we will also see the midnight sun.
