2012-01-01: Notur: Call for CPU-hour projects (2012.1)The allocations by the Research Council of Norway on the High-Performance Computing facilities of the Notur project expire March 31, 2012. The deadline for applying for allocations for period 2012.1 (April 1, 2012 - September 30, 2012) is February 13, 2012. Projects whose current allocations on the Notur facilities expire March 31, but that want to continue using the facilities after this date, must apply to this call. Applicants that already applied for access for the period 2012.1 in a previous call need not apply. If you intend to submit an application for a new project, you are encouraged to contact UNINETT Sigma (sigma@uninett.no) at least one week before submission. (This is to make sure that all criteria are satisfied at the time of submission.) Information about the available compute resources can be found on www.notur.no/hardware/ The on-line application procedure can be found on www.notur.no/quotas/apply/ The applications are evaluated by the Resource Allocation Committee that is appointed by the Research Council of Norway. Applicants will be informed around March 24. Earliest project start is April 1. The next call for regular and large applications is scheduled to be published in June 2012 for projects starting October 2012. In combination with Notur call 2012.1, it is also possible to apply for storage allocations on the national infrastructure for scientific data (NorStore) and for advanced user (application) support:
