2010-01-13: Notur: Call for CPU-hour projects (2010.1)The allocations given out by the Research Council of Norway on the HPC facilities of the Notur project expire March 31, 2010. The deadlines for applying for new allocations (starting April 1) are:
Applicants that intend to submit an application for a large or a new project are requested to contact UNINETT Sigma (sigma@uninett.no) at least one week before submission. (This is to make sure that all submission criteria are satisfied at the time of submission). Applicants that already applied for (and were granted) access for the period 2010.1 in a previous application need not apply, unless the present needs of the project are larger than what was applied for previously. The on-line application procedure can be found on http://www.notur.no/quotas/apply/ Information about the national compute resources (including the latest additions) can be found on http://www.notur.no/hardware/ For more information, please contact UNINETT Sigma (sigma@uninett.no). In combination with Notur call 2010.1, it is also possible to apply for allocations on the national storage resources provided by the NorStore project and for advanced user (application) support. See below for more information. NorStore: Call for storage projectsThe resources of the NorStore project are available for general usage. National user communities with large (and long-term) storage needs are encouraged to apply for access to these resources. The deadline for application is March 3, 2010 (for projects starting April 1). Projects that got pilot access to the NorStore resources in 2009 and whose access expires by March 31, 2010, must apply for an extension in case they would like to have prolonged access to the resources. The on-line application procedure can be found on http://www.norstore.no/access/apply/ For more information, please contact UNINETT Sigma (sigma@uninett.no). Call for applications for advanced user supportThe deadline for advanced user support projects (call 2010.1) is March 3, 2010. Advanced support is typically used for enhancing the usability, performance and scalability of applications, but also targets applications from new user communities. It is also possible to apply for advanced support in combination with applications for allocations on the Notur and NorStore resources, e.g., to prepare your scientific applications for the national compute and storage resources, enable your applications to be used in a compute/data grid environment, or for support for applications with complex data management/flow. The call can be found on http://www.notur.no/support/advanced/ For more information, please contact UNINETT Sigma (sigma@uninett.no). |
