Application form

There are three methods:

Please be aware that once you have chosen one of the authentication methods to create an application, then this application can only be accessed again later using the same authentication method. Additionally, any later applications for that project that are not submitted with the same user and authentication method will be rejected. To change the user and authentication method for an application, please contact UNINETT Sigma.

• Strong authentication (Feide). Access to the application database is based on national electronic identity as provided by your home institution. The applications are tied to individuals and nobody else can access the application. Researchers from all Norwegian universities and university colleges can use this method. Currently, the universities NTNU, UiA, UiB, UiO, UiT, and the university colleges HiO, HiN, HiVe allow this. If you have a national identity (Feide) and your organization is not listed, please contact us and we will try to arrange that your organization is included. Please be aware that this may take some time.
  

  Feide



• Strong authentication (OpenIdP). Access to the application database is based on your (self-created) national electronic identity. The applications are tied to individuals and nobody else can access the application. You can register a new account at OpenIdP yourself.
  

  Open IdP



• Weak authentication. Access is based on (self-created) username and password. The applications can be shared by those people that get access to the user name and password. Please make sure that never more than one person is editing the same application at any moment in time.
